The Gurbachan Singh Swimming Pool is one of the two swimming pools in Labasa town and is available daily from 11am to 6pm on weekdays and 9am to 6pm on weekends and public holidays. Recycling & Sustainability
south pacific waste recyclers
South Pacific Waste Recyclers is the first and only paper recycling plant in the South Pacific set up in 2012. Our aim is to encourage recycling and sustainability for a cleaner, greener Fiji. The recycling plant is located at Lot 5, Bulei Road, Laucala Beach, Suva and employs up to 100 employees who are all committed to promoting an eco-friendly environment. With a 24-hour operation, approximately 12 tonnes of waste paper is converted into 7 tonnes of reusable paper. This 100% recycled paper is transformed into high-quality Nambawan brand of toilet rolls, tissue paper and kitchen towels in a range of sizes available at all retail outlets.

Mechanisation in sugarcane harvesting
The Group has embarked on a project venturing into sugarcane farming in Labasa. It invested substantially in farms equipping them with modern facilities. The Group trading as Crazytwinz (Labasa) Pte Limited also expanded into providing mechanical harvesting services to sugarcane farmers in Labasa. It procured a mechanical harvester with wheels – capable of harvesting 15,000 tonnes of sugarcane annually. Besides sugarcane farming, the Group has diversified into commercial vegetable farming and sale of agricultural machinery spare parts.
